  • COVID-19 Vaccination to be Mandatory for Visitors at MAHC

    To keep everyone safe, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC), like many other Ontario hospitals, will require all visitors to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19, starting November 22, 2021.

    All individuals who are seeking to visit a patient at MAHC and essential caregivers or support people accompanying a patient in special circumstances will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination demonstrating 14 days have passed since their second dose as well as identification to enter the hospitals.

  • Huntsville Hospital Prepares For Six-Hour Emergency Back-Up Power Outage

    On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) Site will experience a planned six-hour outage of the emergency back-up power system. The outage is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and end by 3 p.m.

  • CEO Blog: COVID-19 Vaccine - An Added Layer of Protection

    COVID-19 vaccination efforts continue across Ontario and throughout the world as a significant step forward to fight the COVID-19 virus and to one day ease the impacts of the global pandemic.

    The vaccine is not a bulletproof vest against COVID, but is a scientifically-recognized layer of protection in addition to public health measures of masking, physical distancing and frequent handwashing to protect yourself and others.

  • Survey Results Reveal High Patient Satisfaction at MAHC

    Results of a recent independent patient satisfaction survey evaluating the quality of care received by patients during their acute care and emergency care experience at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) continue to rank above provincial averages.

    The results are based on patient satisfaction survey responses from the final quarter of the 2020-2021 fiscal year between January 1 and March 31, 2021.

    Following a decade of dedicated service, President & CEO Natalie Bubela has announced her retirement from Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC), effective December 23, 2021.  The Board of Directors received the news at a special meeting of the Board last evening.
