ATMs (Bank Machine)

An ATM is available in the main lobby at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site and at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site.  There is no ATM at the Almaguin Highlands Health Centre in Burk's Falls.

Garden Courts and Vending Machines

Vending machines with fresh and packaged food options are located in the Garden Courts on the first floor of the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site and the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site.  Family members and visitors of patients may also request a meal from our patient menu for a nominal fee.  The meal is served in the patient's room during meal times.

Gift Shops

There are gift shops in both the main lobby at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site and South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site.  The gift shops are solely operated by Auxiliary volunteers and stock toiletries, snacks, clothing and giftware.

Housekeeping

Our Environmental Services staff will clean your room at least once per day during your stay.  Please keep personal items inside your bed table or in your room lockers if your room has one.  Please talk to your Environmental Services Aide if anything in your room needs to  be repaired, or if there are times you would like privacy.

Information Desks

Information Desks that are staffed by Auxiliary volunteers are located in the front lobby at each site.

Interpreters

Should you need an interpreter or sign language, please tell a member of your care team.  

Linen and Bedding

Bedding and towels are provided for you, but bedding is not always changed on a daily basis. Gowns are provided for outpatients, and day surgery patients.  Please do not remove any hospital linen from the facilities.  Do not mix any personal items with hospital bedding or towels.  We cannot identify these to return to you, and they may be damaged.

Lost and Found

Patients and visitors may visit or call the hospital Switchboard to report or inquire about any lost items.

Mail Delivery

Your personal mail will be delivered to your room.  Please make sure that any mail addressed to you includes your name and room number, c/o Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare.  Make sure you include the correct hospital site and address, found below.

Toiletries

Please note that personal toiletries such as shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrush, and shaving supplies are not provided.  Please bring these with you.  Supplies can be purchased at the Gift Shops in the lobby at each site.

Wi-Fi

MAHC provides complimentary Wi-Fi for patients and visitors.  Due to information security, not all websites can be accessed on MAHC's Wi-Fi.  To use the Wi-Fi, you will need your own Wi-Fi enabled device, such as a cell phone or laptop.  Please note there may be areas or times when access to this service is limited.
