  • MAHC Responds, Bringing Future Planning Back on Track

    Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) has a proven track record of working collaboratively with stakeholders and has established a Capital Plan Development Task Force to lead MAHC’s future planning work. The task force is largely comprised of community members and has municipal representation which includes the Mayors of Huntsville and Bracebridge, the Reeve of Burk’s Falls and the CAO of the District of Muskoka.

  • Your Questions Answered as MAHC's Future Planning Work Continues

    Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) has developed a Q&A that has been posted on the MAHC website to respond to questions raised and to clarify and correct statements made at a future planning public consultation meeting earlier this month. Through the generous support of YourTV community television, coverage of the meeting continues to be available through the YourTv website at www.yourtv.tv/muskoka until March 31, 2018.

  • Capital Plan Development Task Force Update #12

    The Capital Plan Development Task Force met on February 26, and held a public consultation meeting on March 1 to invite delegations to receive comments and ideas from the public regarding MAHC’s future planning. Approximately 140 people attended the meeting and 16 people from across the region presented their comments. The task force also received nearly 100 written submissions that are also being distributed to the MAHC Board of Directors.

    Thanks to donor support for a state-of-the-art surgical laser, more advanced kidney stone surgeries are being performed in the operating room at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare’s (MAHC) South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site.

  • HDMH Emergency Department Flooring Work Underway

    Flooring replacement work is underway once again in the Emergency Department at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) Site.

    The cast room and adjacent hallway in department will remain temporarily closed until February 26, 2018.

    The Capital Plan Development Task Force met on Dec. 11 and reconvened after the holidays on Jan. 15.

    The task force discussed community consultation and agreed to arrange an evening for the public to make presentations through delegations to the task force. More details will follow.
