Volunteering at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we care for.  A friendly visit, helping someone at mealtime, participating in an activity, or giving someone a much-needed hairstyle can all brighten someone's day.

Become an Auxiliary Volunteer

We greatly value the contributions of our volunteers.  Our two Auxiliaries provide opportunities for volunteering, and support our hospitals through fundraising activities.

The South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Auxiliary recruits, trains and supports volunteers at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site.

The Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Auxiliary recruits, trains and supports volunteers at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site.

Both Auxiliaries provide a warm and welcoming community to our valued volunteers.

Join Our Patient and Family Advisory Council

The patient and family perspective has never been more important or influential in health care than it is today.  It is only when we see health care through the eyes of patients and their families that we can truly improve their experience.

MAHC is building on the philosophy of centering care around patients and their families by engaging Patient Experience Partners to participate and collaborate with us as volunteer partners in planning services and systems to shape and improve the patient experience.
