Inpatient Care Units

Acute inpatient hospital care is provided at both the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site and the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site. 

Interdisciplinary teams of health care professionals provide individual care, while communicating and interacting regularly with family members and loved ones.  Many people on the health care team contribute to recovery.  These include: internists, physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, registered practical nurses, nurse practitioners, patient flow navigators, dietitians, pharmacists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, transitional care coordinators, social workers, respiratory therapists, speech language pathologists, spiritual care providers, ward clerks and volunteers.  The team's goal is to provide safe, excellent health care to assist in recovery, and a smooth transition to home or the community.
