Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is committed to delivering excellent patient care that is based on quality and safety. We want to ensure our health care services are consistent with the needs of the patients, families and communities that we serve. We are proud to be Accredited with Exemplary Standing, the highest possible possible rating through a voluntary onsite assessment process conducted by Accreditation Canada. This result clearly demonstrates our commitment to safe, high-quality care and the high standards to which we hold ourselves accountable.
MAHC utilizes ethical frameworks for decision-making not only for patient care, but also administrative and financial decision-making. A Bioethicist is also available to staff and physicians to provide guidance and advice on issues with an ethical dimension.
Definition of Quality
Quality at MAHC results in shared decision-making between the patient/family and health care team to achieve a patient identified desired health outcome. MAHC will deliver safe, effective, patient-centred services, efficiently, and in a timely fashion, resulting in optimal health status for our patients.
