Introducing Muskoka hospitals' 2018 New Year's babies

HDMH New Year's baby Aliyah Demers

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is pleased to introduce the first babies born in 2018 at each of our hospital sites.

At the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) Site, Aliyah Demers was born at 6:16 a.m. on Monday, January 1, 2018, weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces. Aliyah was welcomed by parents Matthew Sturgess and Sasha Demers of Huntsville, and her sister nine-year-old Alexis.

At the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) Site, Benjamin Schell arrived at 8:54 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, weighing 7 pounds, 4.5 ounces. Benjamin is the second child for proud parents Wil Schell and Laura Rimmington of Bracebridge, and a baby brother for Gregory.
